A fundamental method we use in managing PROGRAMATTİK media; Real-Time Bidding, namely buying media by tender.

RTB is the dawn of digital media planning and buying. It is based upon buying the ad inventory during the broadcast via the auction method.

With this method, we partake in auctions aimed at the right audience for the specific campaign and then we buy the inventory at a reasonable price.

While targeting audience, we pay attention to their previously-visited websites, geographical location, gender, browser type, the devices they use etc.

After finding the suitable target audience for the advertiser’s campaign, we partake in the auction for their impressions. We win the auction, and our advertisement is published for 0,1 TL more of the previous bid. This whole process lasts for milliseconds.

What is Fraud in Display Advertising?

Fraud can generally be construed as having advertisers pay for ads and leaving them with nothing in return. Impressions generated by robots but not real humans and false clicks are the most common and problematic issues in digital advertising and unfortunately it is difficult to notice by publisher platforms. The most common uses of this fraud in advertising are bots, false site names and domain names.

Thanks to our fraud detection algorithm, we, as PROGRAMATTİK, separate and eliminate bad traffic. When this system detects fake and irrelevant traffic, it halts bidding on that website and blocks the traffic coming from there. Therefore, you are left with qualified impressions and real site traffic only.

It constantly examines templates in log data and eliminates non-human traffic. Our system does not automatically bid in doubtful cases and removes this traffic from the entire system automatically.

Technically, our fraud ad preventing technology consists of two parts: detecting and filtering.

In the detecting process, the log contents are examined and all suspicious abnormalities emerge.

Afterward, it is decided whether the abnormalities should be incorporated into the traffic in the filtering process. They are presented in the report in a separate section.
